About Volunteers

The NOCC needs your help, and we have a place for you. There are several opportunities for volunteering and turning your passion into action.

Volunteer Positions Available:

Together in Teal planning (prior to event)

Sponsorship Outreach

  • Help our Sponsorship Committee find businesses to sponsor.

Food & Beverage Outreach

  • Help secure in-kind donations of food/beverages.

Auction Outreach

  • Help secure in-kind donations for the Auction tent.

(Please note: we will do our best to honor requests; however, positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis in order to ensure the event is fully staffed. Thank you for your understanding. Final Volunteer Assignments will be emailed, and training will be provided.)

Event Day Volunteer Positions:

  • Set Up & Breakdown
    • Assist with staging the event. Volunteers may help arrange tables/chairs/signage, displays and more. Some heavy lifting may be required - early hours.
    • Pack up materials & assist with inventory after the event.
  • Volunteer/Community Partner Tent
    • Check in volunteers, community partners, and reassign as needed.
  • Registration/Check-In Tent
    • Assist with registration/check-in, hand out bibs, collect donations, etc.
    • Distribute t-shirts.
  • Memorial Tent | Forever In Our Hearts
    • Assist participants with an activity to honor the memory of their loved one.
  • Survivor Tent
    • Set up, greet survivors, and assist with activities (handprint banner, etc.).
  • Mission Village
    • Help guests learn about NOCC programming and services.
  • Spirit Tent
    • Assist with fun activities and games.
  • Chance to Win Tent
    • Sell tickets, supervise tent, winner determination, and item distribution.
  • Refreshment Tent
    • Help set up, prepare, and distribute refreshments and beverages to participants.
  • Water Station
    • Set up and hand out water on the course (if applicable).
  • Team/Event Photographer
    • Capture event and team memories throughout the day.
  • Team VIP Crew
    • Welcome top teams, greet guests, and distribute team t-shirts.
  • Finish Line Crew
    • Hand out medals (if applicable), assist with traffic control, and cheer on participants as they cross the finish line.
