Peru: Ausangate Trek Hope to New Heights supporting National Ovarian Cancer Coalition

Approximately this time 8 years ago (August 2017), I was diagnosed with 2 primary gynecological cancers. I had both uterine and ovarian cancer. I was fortunate to have been diagnosed and treated promptly in early stages of both. When I reached my milestone year, 5 years no evidence of disease, I committed to completing at least one endurance event for National Ovarian Cancer Coalition per year. In 2023 I hiked Mount Kilimanjaro. In 2024 I biked NYC TD5 Boroughs tandem style. This year I am running the Dublin Marathon. In 2026, I am very excited to be bringing Hope to New Heights by climbing Machu Pichu. This is very special to me as my youngest son, Joseph, will be accompanying me.
This year, I registered for the 2026 Peru: Ausangate Trek Hope to New Heights because I want to raise awareness and funding for National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. My support will help improve the lives of women, families and communities touched by ovarian cancer and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts. Together, we will show there is no limit - (or height!) that we will go to help end ovarian cancer.
In this year of great challenges, one even greater challenge remains, saving more lives from ovarian cancer. Dollars raised for the NOCC support national programs and local market initiatives to heighten awareness of the subtle signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, assist newly-diagnosed patients throughout the country, provide ongoing support to caregivers, and advocate for the advancement of ovarian cancer research.
Help me connect with my community and show my passion for saving lives and ending ovarian cancer.
Will you please join me to help save lives by donating today?
