Peru: Ausangate Trek Hope to New Heights

I am bringing HOPE to New Heights with TEAM TEAL!

I registered for the 2026 Peru: Ausangate Trek Hope to New Heights because I want to raise awareness and funding for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. I found this organization after my sweet, beloved mom was diagnosed with late-stage ovarian cancer in the fall of 2023. After undergoing chemo and major surgery and then being in remission for a little over a year, she unfortunately relapsed in April 2025 and passed away on July 23. It's an unbearable truth knowing that my mommy is no longer with me. She has always been and will always be my favorite person.

My family is certainly not the only one touched by this tragic disease. Raising money to support this mission will help improve the lives of countless women, families and communities touched by ovarian cancer — and I need your help.

Every dollar goes toward the organization to support national programs and local market initiatives to raise awareness of the subtle signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer; assist newly diagnosed patients throughout the country; provide ongoing support to caregivers; and advocate for the advancement of ovarian cancer research.

While this effort — both the fundraising and the trek itself — is a challenge, it's nothing compared to the challenges that ovarian cancer patients, caregivers and loved ones face every day. We need to do more so that one day, God willing, we will find a cure.
