2026 TCS New York City Marathon supporting National Ovarian Cancer Coalition

I am running the NYC Marathon in memory of my grandmother and aunt. To honor their lives and carry on their legacy.
My name is Gabrielle Steed, and I am proud to be running the 2026 NYC Marathon with Team Teal in support of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, a cause that means so much to me and my family.
I’m running in loving memory of my Aunt Peggy, who passed away in 2024 after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. I’m also running in loving memory of my grandmother, Maw, who gained her angel wings on February 14, 2026. Maw was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in 2019 and fought with everything she had for seven years. While many are told the average life expectancy is around five years, she defied the odds and continued forward with bravery, resilience, and determination. They are two of the strongest women I know.
Every mile I run is for them, to remember Aunt Peggy and Maw, to carry their strength with me, and to support every family affected by ovarian cancer. Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping raise awareness and funding as we continue pushing toward better treatments and, one day, a cure.
